Including Recent Presentations

Steve Arnold is a sustaining member of the U.S. Chapter of the Digital Equipment Computer Users Society (DECUS). He has presented sessions at each of the biannual national Symposia since Fall, 1981, and at five European Symposia. Web versions of some recent presentations are available here:

He has also presented three full-day DECUS Seminars: Connecting to the Internet, Connecting to Global Networks, and Managing Production Electronic Mail with PMDF.

For many years, Steve managed the Internet connection (and its BITNET predecessor)to the biannual National Symposium and Trade Show, and was Symposium Postmaster. He is the Internet Operations Manager for DECUServe, a mail and conferencing service of the DECUS U.S. Chapter, and chairs the Networks Special Interest Group and the Production Mail Working Group of the E-Mail and Groupware Special Interest Group.

As a project of the Production Mail Working Group, Steve is organizing the DECUS Production Mail discussion list, coming soon to this server.

For the convenience of other DECUS members, and with Jim's permission, we have made the comprehensive handout Jim developed available here as a zip archive (444 Kbyte). Jim's slides are also included. Unzipped versions of the Microsoft Word 97 handout (5.3 Mbyte) and Microsoft PowerPoint 97 slides (104 Kbyte) are also available, but downloading the huge unzipped Word document is not recommended. Please contact Steve if you cannot decompress the zip file or open the documents.
